“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” - Romans 10:13

Who is Jesus?

Jesus made some significant claims about who he is. We see throughout the Bible that this man allowed people to worship Him, was nearly stoned for his claim to be God, and performed miracles in front of thousands. His death and resurrection is the most exclaimed moment of history, one that many dispute. Yet, his 12 disciples were all willing to die excruciating deaths because of their time spent with Jesus. We are convinced that Jesus was not just a good man, but is God, who came to Earth in the body of a man.

One of the most significant beliefs of our faith is that Jesus was resurrected from the dead. This shows us there is no power in heaven or earth that compares to the power of Jesus. In one of the books of the New Testament, Ephesians chapter one and verses 15-23, we read that Jesus is indeed the greatest being, He is God, and there is no one greater. Further, we read that he wishes to empower us to live lives supercharged as he walks alongside us in every part of our lives. Jesus did not pop down approximately 2000 years ago to be an interesting historical figure; He came to earth to bring purpose, life, love, and beauty to every one of us who would choose to accept him as our God.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

- JOHN CHAPTER 3 VERSE16

If Jesus is God?

To be made whole, or to be saved, is to submit to Jesus and His plan and purpose for our lives. It is a turning from our old ways and turning to Jesus, asking Him for the forgiveness of our sins and giving us new life in Him.

Romans chapter 10, verse 9 says: “If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Salvation is God’s free gift to us, and we become His children. It is an irrevocable acceptance into the family of God and an empowerment to live a life wholly and fully with the purpose of reflecting God to the rest of His creation. If you are not sure whether you are right with God or you know, in fact, that you need Jesus in your life, you can choose to follow Him right now by praying a prayer of surrender to Jesus.

Dear Jesus, I’m praying this prayer because I know that I have done wrong by living without You. I am sorry, and I trust that You will forgive me. I accept Your love and grace for me and ask that You would be my Lord. Help me believe in You and love You every day, and help me to show the world what You are like and how great Your love is.
In Jesus’ name, amen.

Congratulations! To pray these words with a surrendered heart to Jesus is the beginning of the most important voyage you will ever embark on: the journey to follow Jesus. Please let us know if you’ve just made a commitment to Jesus and prayed this prayer by clicking the button below.
